Malaika Arora Khan performs the role of a perfect host for the latest music reality show ‘Dhoom Macha De’ on the upcoming channel NDTV imagine.

“All the contestants are people I’ve known earlier. So it’s more in the spirit of fun and leisure,” said Malaika who was one of the first VJs on TV.

Like many other reality shows this show, is also gaining lot of popularity.

This show has singers like Babul Supriyo, Richa Sharma, Baba Sehgal, Kamal Khan, Jaspinder Narula, Anaida, Sunita Rao and many others battle among themselves for the title of ‘Best Live Performer’.

Singer Shankar Mahadevan, actress Sharmila Tagore and lyricist Prasoon Joshi have been roped in by the channel as judges for the reality show.

Its fun too see, such established singers compete with each other. One gets to hear lovely songs too.

The best dressed so far has been Kamal Khan, who came all dressed up in a beautiful black suit all prepared to sing a Ghazal, but ended up singing some other song.

Anaida on the other hand dressed up in a “blood red” tight fitting dress, she sang a English Hit of Madonna, she pulled across the song quite well.

The best performance in the previous show however, was Baba Seghal’s. He sang the title track of Taare Zameen Par so well that,Shankar Mahadevan, the singer of the original track, couldn’t help but sing a few lines with him.

In today’s episode, all the singers sang very well, the elimnation round begins from the next episode, wherein the singer with the least votes will be eliminated.

Malaika Arora on the other hand is working very hard to make the show worth watching.

She is performing stunts with of course, safety precautions with her son cheering her from the crowd.

This show will be telecasted on Friday’s and Saturday’s on NDTV Imagine every week.
