Has your bonding with Salman Khan helped you professionally? Sajid: There are only two people I love, Salman Khan and Wajid. Working with Salman has definitely helped us. Wajid: We are what we are today because of Salman Khan. We wouldn't have survived in the industry without him. Does he contribute to your music? Sajid: Yes, always. Do you plan to sing for other composers? Sajid: We need to get offers first.
Wajid: I'm ready to experiment. Recently, Pritam offered me a track. You've really had to wait for success to come your way. Sajid: Patience pays. Wajid: I agree. It's been a lot of hard work and a long wait. There were times when friends and family would enquire about how things were going. It was embarrassing. What kept the big banners away? Sajid: May be they couldn't afford us. But we are doing big ticket films now. Wajid: There was a time when colleagues would urge us to move to a different profession. They are still around...so are we. That's life. Ever thought of parting ways? Wajid: We are brothers. There can never be ego clashes between us. Yes, we do take each other for granted at times, but it's fun. Sajid: One of us takes a decision and the other accepts it. My dad used to say, "Niyat saaf toh manzil aasan." You'd promised V of India contestant Toshi Sabri a break in one of your projects. Sajid: Two days after the episode, we recorded with him for a big film.
