Majhi Nao Chhaira Dey albumSabina Yasmin (Bangla: সাবিনা ইয়াসমিন) is a popular singer of Bangladeshi origin.
She is renowned in Bangladesh for her patriotic songs as well as her playback singing in Bangladeshi cinema.She is also very popular in West Bengal, India.

Sabina has married twice. After her first marriage ended in a divorce, she married Suman Chattopadhyay, an Indian Bengali singer.

Singer Sabina fighting for life Monday July 09 2007 Sabina Yasmin, one of the most melodious voices of all times in the Indian subcontinent, is struggling for life at the city's Labaid Specialised Hospital.( The Daily Star ) The singer of songs like "Sab kota janala khuley dao na", "Ekti Bangladesh tumi jagrata janatar", "Shei rail-liner dharey", "Majhi nao chhaira dey", "Uttar dakkhin purba pashchim" and hundreds of others has been suffering from non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a form of blood cancer. Sabina was admitted to hospital in mid-June and went through tests and operation by specialised doctors led by Dr Khademul Islam and was diagnosed with the deadly disease. At present she is undergoing treatment under Dr Lt Col (retd) Mofazzal Hossain. Talking about Sabina's latest condition, Labaid Hospital Registrar Dr Mohammad Ezharul Haque Kaiser yesterday said they could not give chemotherapy because of derangement of her lever function. "We examined her again on Saturday, but it showed that her lever was not fit for chemotherapy. So, we held it up and gave immunotherapy," he said, adding that they will continuously monitor the level of her lever function until she is fit for chemotherapy. On the condition of Sabina's lever, he said it seemed to be improving but not yet up to the level when chemotherapy can be administered. Asked on the possibility of cure, the doctor said, "If the response of chemotherapy is good, we are optimistic about her cure." The board formed for the treatment of the noted singer proposed taking her abroad, but Sabina and her family members preferred that she be treated in the country, Dr Kaiser noted. Sabina Yasmin started her career through playback and singing for the radio and gramophone companies when she was still a child. As she grew up, she reigned supreme in the country's music industry for more than the last three decades. Equally proficient in modern and folk songs, Sabina has won the hearts of millions of people all over the world. As a member of national cultural delegations she has performed in China, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, India, the UAE, Uzbekistan, Greece, Germany, Sweden, Norway and the UK. Sabina Yasmin Staff Reporter The condition of the legendary artiste of the Bengali music Sabina Yasmin deteriorated yesterday. She is suffering from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, according to the physicians. Cancer and medicine specialist Dr Lt Col (Retd) Mohammad Mofazzal Hossain said, “The liver of Sabina Yasmin is seriously damaged. We cannot use chemotherapy at this stage, as she is very weak to receive it” Sabina was admited to the Lab Aid Specialised Hospital on June 12. She has been under treatment of Dr Hossain from Friday. Dr Hossain said, “This sort of disease is curable in the early stage. We are capable of curing her but the disease has now spread throughout her body. We are trying to create a stable condition through immunotherapy.” The hospital authorities formed a five-member medical board including the surgery specialist M Khademul Islam, medicine specialist Prof Sirajul Haque, cardiac specialist Ali Hussain, cardiac surgery specialist Golam Mohiuddin Akbar Chowdhury and cancer and medicine specialist Dr Lt Col (Retd) Mohammad Mofazzal Hossain. According to the board members, they detected her cancer after biopsy tests in both Bangladesh and Switzerland. They said that they want to use chemotherapy, but her present physical condition did not allow us to do so. Dr Hossain hoped that if the physical condition of Sabina Yasmin improves they will start chemotherapy within a week. Meanwhile, President of Awami League Sheikh Hasina visited the hospital to meet her yesterday morning. All musicians and lyricists appealed to the nation to pray for her early recovery. Re: Sabina Yasmin Sabina flown to Singapore for treatment Staff Reporter Noted ailing singer Sabina Yasmin was flown to Singapore yesterday night for beter treatment at Singapore National Cancer Centre. Meanwhile, Mayor of Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) Sadeque Hossain Khoka visited the Lab Aid Specialized Hospital yesterday afternoon to see the ailing singer and donated a cheque of Tk one lakh on behalf of the DCC for her treatment Artistes, lyricists, musicians and all her well-wishers went to the hospital to know her physical condition. Her family members urged countrymen to pray to Almighty for her early recovery. Meanwhile, the Bangladesh agent of Singapore National Cancer Centre completed all preparations for her arrival. Doctors found cyst in her lymphatic system. The biopsy report, carried out in Switzerland, said the cyst was a symptom of cancer. Sabina has long been suffering from diabetes too. Cancer and medicine specialist Lt Col (Retd) Mofazzel Hossain of Lab Aid Specialised Hospital said, “Though we are yet to treat her with chemotherapy considering her physical condition, she is feeling beter as we have started immunotherapy and lymphoma treatment Though the disease is in advanced stage, it is treatable.” According to the sources, the country’s lone air ambulance provider IPSSL offered to fly Sabina at a concessional rate and without any profit The noted singer was admited to the hospital on June 12 with fever and severe pain in her abdomen.
